1. Introduction
DEAR MUSE MAKEUP PTE. LTD., trading as Dear Muse ("we", "us", "our"), operates the website https://www.dearmuse.sg (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices available to you. We handle personal data in accordance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
2. Personal data we collect
When you submit an enquiry through our Site, we collect the information you provide, including your first and last name, email address, contact number, intended appointment date, and the contents of your message. When you browse the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect technical and usage information, including your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, the links you click, the time and date of your visit, and the website or source that referred you.
3. How we use your data
We use enquiry information to respond to your enquiry, provide quotations, check availability, arrange bookings, and communicate with you about our makeup and hairstyling services. We use technical and usage information to operate and secure the Site, understand how visitors find and use it, and measure the performance of our marketing. We will only use your contact details to send you marketing messages where you have given us consent to do so, and you may withdraw that consent at any time using the contact details in Section 9.
4. Cookies and tracking technologies
We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to recognise your browser or device, remember your preferences, and measure how you interact with the Site. Essential cookies are required for the Site to function and cannot be disabled. Analytics and advertising cookies are optional and are set only where you have accepted them through our cookie banner. You can change your preferences at any time through the banner, or manage and delete cookies through your browser settings.
5. Analytics and advertising tools
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics collects aggregate information such as pages viewed, session duration, device type, and traffic source. We have not enabled Google Analytics Advertising Features or Google Signals, so we do not receive demographic or interest data about you, and your session data is not associated with your Google account through our property. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., to measure the performance of our advertising and to help us reach relevant audiences. Meta may use this information in accordance with its own data policy, available at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy. You can manage your Meta ad preferences at https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences. Where we run advertising campaigns, these tools may be used to show our ads to people who have previously visited the Site. Data is used in aggregate and is not intended to identify you personally.
6. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We share personal data only with service providers who help us operate the Site and our business, and only to the extent needed for them to perform that service. These include Wix.com Ltd, which hosts the Site and processes enquiry form submissions on our behalf, and the analytics/advertising providers named in Section 5. We may also disclose personal data where required by law, by a court order, or by a regulatory authority, or where necessary to protect our legal rights.
7. Transfers outside Singapore
Some of our service providers store and process data outside Singapore. Where personal data is transferred overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient provides a standard of protection comparable to that required under the PDPA.
8. Your rights
Under the PDPA you may request access to the personal data we hold about you and information on how it has been used or disclosed, request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data, or withdraw your consent to our continued use of your data. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer respond to your enquiry or provide our services to you. To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 9. We will respond within a reasonable time.
